offseason bearsing

having seen the playoff game a few times, i can tell you one thing: at least the bears didnt go out like bitches. the week after the encouraging yet discouraging-cuz-noibody-doubled-steve-smith debacle, the panthers themselves went out like bitches. del-homey looked bad knd of like ~week10 bad. whatever it was. then the seahawks went out like bitches in teh super bowl.

the bears didn't go out like any bitch, hell, they kept coming back and back. rex got picked at the panthers ~20 yard line down 8 with ~2:30 left in the game? this is AFTER he was punched squarely in the face to start the game by a hungrier defense? i'll take that.

now i'll give you that his leg could fall off. or maybe he's due for an arm problem. but if he can get past htat stuff and stay on the field, i think the kid's got a pair with is requisite to being a slinger in teh NFL. and hey we have a mass "Favre" thing being from around this area, shut up go away and enjoy aaron rodgers. i dont think rex will ever be confused with a tractor loving guy, and god bless him for that, the NFL already has brett doin the tractor thing, and the MLB has roy oswalt keepin it extra-real with bulldozers (god bless him for that too, cuz you know he's in it for hte 'dozers over the 8-10 mil he makes per year) so how about a kid who can chuck a football in to and out of precarious situations, with or without a steadily improving team behind him... thats why i loves me some bears, dammit.

anyways, as much as the concept of last-year-pre-injury mark bradley excites me, i'll buy a jerry angelo jersey if he snatches up antwaan randle-el as quickly as he did moose going into last season. there's a myriad of reasons you want randle-el o nthe bears, least of which his perfect TD pass in the superbowl (i remember telling my family b4 that moment, dude, the steelers have a quarterback at WR, they can do these things. on the play itself i called a playaction, but it was a superplayaction. argh i need to go to vegas) not to mention randle-el is from chicago, so that hometown thing will come with it. hey its worth a shot, cuz like, the bears are on the up and up and i think they'll be able to hang with the steelers of the next 2-3 years, which evidently have a mettle good enough to suckerpunch a bitchass manning and get the job done in the clutch (see, i'm unapologetically simpleminded american like that) . you can talk about bernard berrian (good game til a hip BRUISE kept you out of it? berrian's in that game it might be tied 29-29 or be 29-27 going into the same amount of time that left the bears with the ball with ~1 mi nleft) you can talk about justin gage, whatever... keep talking about them, I'M TALKING ABOUT ANTWAAN RANDLE-EL man... you get multitalented players like that when you have a shot. if the steelers are stupid enouhg to let him go, the bears better be right there to snatch him up immediately.

oh and moose, i aint worried, but as i say in some of my raps: the man's been known to drop more than skills on a football field =D he'll be ok th0

otherwise, i think it's incumbant o nthe defense to be pissed over both the gameplan and execution of hte gameplan which was to not cover steve smith. seriously, steve smith twists an ankle or something bears might have won the super bowl this season, cuz he was the only WR of that calibur i've seen in the playoffs... and remember, the only other team in the playoffs to not go out like bitches was the steelers, tho the bucs get an honorable mention. that was something special to see, and it was amazing to see bad del-homey completely neutralize that godlike performance we saw out of stevesmith vs the bears. the bears need to take their lumps here... a two-legged rex will get better, the defense will learn (that urlacher/brown/vasher pro bowl snub said somethin to me, namely, watch out i nthe next year or two)

otehrwise, i mean, basically we've got most everything needed to do this, just WR depth i'd approximate, so its maybe another cover CB or a kick in peanut's ass, definitely another safety somewher ein there (altho who doesnt like chris harris after that pass def on mangum in the first pantehr game?)... and ummm..
just more of what's been workin cuz i think this team could be a juggernaught type team for ~4-5 years with whats in place here, maybe longer if these guys continue to make the moves that htey've been makin.

terry boers said 2007 for this bears team, but hey i'm greedy i'd take 2006 =D
